D.R.R. Guerrero grew up in South Lake Tahoe, California, and now calls San Diego home while exploring the world. Adopted at 14, he lost his adoptive father to liver cancer in June 2023. He began to wrestle with a painful question posed by his adoptive mum: “Why, Dad? Why didn’t death take someone else who deserved it?”

This search for meaning led to The Chronicles of Death, a historical‑fiction series that helped D.R.R. process his grief and honor his childhood, six siblings, and life philosophy. As a member of a minority and the LGBTQIA+ community, he weaves stories that shine a light on disenfranchised people and advocates for human rights.
